Nitrile (Buna-N) is the polymer of choice for applications requiring greater oil and solvent resistance. Premium or Spec. Nitrile is formulated to give maximum oil resistance. The higher cost is offset by the longer service life in demanding applications. Our premium Nitrile has a smooth black finish and is formulated to meet ASTM D-2000 5BG 613, A14, B14, E014, E034, and F17 specifications. Common applications include fuel tanks, fuel tank gaskets, petroleum gaskets and fuel related rubber applications. Nitrile is also used in labs where testing involving chemicals takes place.
